What is the most secure window frame?

We offer a variety of different styles of window for your home, and whilst styles may vary, their commitment to securing your home does not. With each option, you will not only get terrific hardware, double glazing, and multipoint locks as standard, but you can add further high-security options like toughened glazing and additional locks as well.

The casement window is typically considered the most secure type of window because, with no way to turn the crank from the outside, there is very little opportunity for an intruder to enter your home through the window if you are sure to close and lock it.

As one of the most secure options available on the market, our casement windows meet PAS 24 certifications and are continuously assessed to strict industry standards. We fit all of our casement windows with pioneering multi-point locking mechanisms, which bolt the sash to the frame at several points to maximise their resilience from harsh forces. For homeowners looking for even greater peace of mind, you can choose to include additional security features in your custom-designed replacement windows. Additional security features could include laminated and toughened glass, triple glazing, additional locks, restrictors, ventilation locks, and more. To find out what additional security features would most benefit your home.

Despite casement windows often recommended as the most secure style, each and every window style we offer will ensure your home is safe and secure.

What is PAS24?

PAS24 is a security standard that can only be achieved after a product has been thoroughly evaluated and assessed for high-security performance levels. The idea is to enable homes and commercial buildings to be protected against the threat of opportunistic criminals. All of our windows meet PAS24 standards.

What are multipoint locks?

Multipoint locking systems are found on all of our window styles as standard. They feature a long strip that bolts into the side of the window that locks at multiple points along the frame, hence the name multipoint lock. Having multiple locking points naturally adds a higher level of security than just a single lock.

Which window material is the most secure?

Aluminium windows are considered one of the most secure options available on the market. It is one of the most burglar resistant materials available because of its inherently strong properties despite its featherweight appearance. When discussing aluminium’s durability, it’s much stronger than most people realise. This is because, when looked at pound for pound, aluminium has an extremely high strength-to-weight ratio. This innate strength makes aluminium windows resistant to forced entry as it is very difficult to damage. Aluminium window frames are beautifully thin and light which means they can hold large panes of glass within slim frames allowing plenty of natural light to flood your home. Thanks to aluminium’s anti-corrosion properties and outstanding robustness, they can last for years and years keeping your home secure, comfortable, and looking its best.

All of our window materials promise to keep your home safe and secure. Despite aluminium often being recommended as one of the most secure material choices, we also offer ultra-secure uPVC and timber windows to suit any home and budget.

Upgrade to triple glazing for extra security for your windows

All of our windows are fitted with A+ energy rated double glazing as standard, but we also offer the option to upgrade to triple glazing for heightened security, noise reduction, and energy efficiency capabilities, depending on your chosen window material. The extra pane of glass ensures that your windows are less easy to break, which in turn, offers you more peace of mind and security.
