Conservatory refurbishment

We installed a stunning and stylish anthracite grey uPVC conservatory for Mr Duncan. The design was complete by an incredibly sleek tilt and turn windows and a beautiful set of French doors. These, along with his brand new tiled conservatory roof, helped to solve the heat-retention problems of his original conservatory.

Such was the quality of the installation, that Mr Duncan’s neighbour Mr Timmins ordered his own conservatory with us shortly after. Mr Timmins’ original conservatory was styled with traditional white uPVC windows. Its polycarbonate roof, however, was beginning to underperform. It was becoming less thermally efficient, allowing heat to escape and draughts to pass through. It was also beginning to fade, giving it an unpleasant,

yellowing appearance. Thankfully, we were able to strip out the whole thing and start again. The finished conservatories were absolutely identical, with the only difference being that Mr Timmins chose Tapco tiles where Mr Duncan chose MetroTiles.

Tiled conservatory roof replacement

For both projects, an energy-efficient roof was paramount. That’s why we suggested to both parties to choose a top-of-the-range tiled conservatory replacement roof, with U-Values as low as just 0.15W/m²k. This meant that the new roof had a much lower rate of thermal transmittance, making it much better at retaining their homes’ heat.

As the appearance of tiled conservatory roofs are very versatile and customisable, Mr Timmins was able to choose Tapco Slate tiles for his roof, while Mr Duncan chose MetroTile. Mr Timmins’ Tapco Slate tiles gave his conservatory a traditional appearance that replicated the aesthetics of authentic slate. Meanwhile, the ‘hidden fix’ system of Mr Duncan’s MetroTiles provided an exceptionally smooth finish.

Anthracite grey French doors

French doors are perfect for the rear of homes, so it’s no wonder that Mr Duncan and Mr Timmins both chose them for their conservatory. Our high-performance external French doors will only contribute further to their conservatory becoming a comfortable and beloved space all year round.

A modern appearance was crucial for both Mr Timmins and Mr Duncan, which is why we recommended the colour Anthracite Grey. This shade is immensely popular and versatile, and it gave both conservatories a refreshing, sleek appearance that will last for years to come!

- Mr Timmins

I just want to say how thrilled I am with the windows fitted today. Please give a big thank you to your team, they were absolutely charming and made no mess whatsoever. If it wasn’t for the fact that I have beautiful new windows, nobody would have known they had been here.

Very many thanks.

My old plastic conservatory roof desperately needed replacing and after having to push the installation date back to January after a close death in the family, When the work was completed I was absolutely over the moon.
