Is triple glazing worth the hype?
The very term ‘triple’ makes it seem like you are getting more for your money in glazing terms, versus talk of ‘double’ glazing. If you want to keep the heat in, the cold out and the noise out, mathematically three pieces of glass instead of two must make sense, right?
Well actually…no!
In this case, more doesn’t necessarily mean ‘more’.
Double glazing in Wolverhampton has come so far in its development that it should not be written off as lesser. Planitherm have created two forms of double glazing – Comfort and Comfort Plus – which more than meet the needs of any customer and offer impressive benefits.
Comfort and Comfort Plus glass have built-in transparent layers that offer sound reduction, UV protection, added security due to the stronger glass and excellent heat retention. Whereas triple glazing may cause you to incur extra costs with having to replace your frames to cope with the heavier glass, for most homes you can upgrade to Comfort or Comfort Plus glass and keep your original frames. One less cost to consider!

Your house is your home; you want to look round and be content with all you see. So be wary of triple glazing as many of the frames are rather unattractive due to them having an internal bead on the frame to hold the glass in place. Not the case with Comfort or Comfort Plus.
And please don’t think that Comfort or Comfort Plus, in offering you more than standard double glazing, will be as costly as triple glazing. Two pieces of glass versus three pieces of glass per unit will always be the cheaper option!
With Comfort and Comfort Plus glass, you get more but spend less. Perfect.
…But of course, if you want Triple Glazing we can also offer that too.
