Mr & Mrs Hooper decided it was time to give their home a total refresh and so they came to us here at Wolverhampton Glass to help bring their vision to life.
Conservatory refurbishment
The conservatory extension was originally styled with traditional white uPVC windows and matching French doors, and a glass roof that, over time, had become less efficient at keeping the extension at a comfortable temperature, as well as looking slightly outdated. However, we gave the conservatory a complete revamp with energy-efficient flush sash and tilt and turn uPVC windows, which came in a stunning dual colour finish, featuring an Anthracite Grey exterior with a Cream interior to complement the home décor. The term dual colour is used to describe windows and doors which have a different colour for the internal and external parts of the frame.
We also took out the old white French doors and replaced them with impressive full length flush sash windows which added a real sense of bespoke style. We introduced a single back door in place of the French doors that we aligned to the left of the conservatory so that the full length windows could remain in the centre as a focal point of the design.

Tiled conservatory roof replacement
We also installed a completely new replacement conservatory roof. Since energy efficiency and comfort was a top priority for Mr & Mrs Hooper, we advised that a tiled roof would be the optimum solution for their roof replacement. Tiled roofs are excellent insulators, achieving industry-leading U-values which are as low as 0.15 W/m²K, far below the Building Regulations minimum requirement. This energy efficient roofing system will retain the heat during the colder months and, in the warmer months, the tiles deflect the sun’s rays keeping it at a comfortable indoor temperature. To still allow for natural light to come through into the conservatory, we also installed two roof windows. Roof windows, skylights, and roof lanterns are ideal for homeowners that want a tiled conservatory roof but still want some natural light to come through.
This updated extension was now much more contemporary, blending seamlessly in with Mr & Mrs Hooper’s home, whilst any issues with extreme temperatures were now eradicated for good.

Replacement bi-fold doors
Mr & Mrs Hooper were looking to update their old white uPVC sliding patio doors with something easy to operate that would help connect their indoor and outdoor spaces whilst also being energy efficient. After discussing a few options, we installed a contemporary 3 leaf bi-fold door configuration. The bi-folds feature modern, energy efficient, aluminium frames finished in a dual colour combination of Anthracite Grey with a Cream interior to echo the new conservatory design.
Bi-folding doors are extremely popular with homeowners across the Midlands because their unique concertina opening mechanism means the door panels can easily stack up to one side. With smooth sliding steel rollers, they open with ease, completely blending your garden and home for an open-plan living design. Not only this, but aluminium is also a natural insulator and it’s incredibly strong, so your home will be kept energy efficient and secure with aluminium doors.

Replacement composite door
After focusing on improving the back of Mr & Mrs Hooper’s home, we turned out attention to improving the front. They made it clear that they wanted to make a real statement with their front door and transform it into part of their home’s design; not just a functional feature.
We replaced the outdated and traditional white uPVC front door with a far more impressive composite door that features a striking dual colour exterior. The main door was finished in a beautiful bold red surrounded by a contrasting Anthracite Grey frame. Not only does the new door feature a dual colour exterior, but it also features a completely different colour again on the interior. To complement Mr & Mrs Hooper’s hallway décor, they chose a crisp white interior door colour with frame to match.
A new composite front door is sure to impress any guest, while adding significant kerb appeal to your property. As well as offering premium aesthetics, modern composite doors are incredibly high-performance. The dense and solid core will keep your home insulated and secure for an all-round great choice.

Mr & Mrs Hooper’s review
Here’s what Mr Hooper had to say about their new windows, doors, and conservatory upgrade from us:
“Wolverhampton Glass have done a brilliant job at replacing our windows and doors and restyling our conservatory and we couldn’t be happier with the result. We had seen work completed by them at a friend’s property so we were quite confident when instructing them. The huge range of quality products available made it easy to find exactly what we were looking for. The installation team were great to have around and made sure to be as tidy as possible throughout. We can’t recommend them enough.”
